This two-day course, “Advocacy & Litigation for Immigration Lawyers,” is tailored for new and less experienced immigration practitioners seeking to enhance their advocacy and litigation skills. The program focuses on refining core advocacy techniques and improving performance through practical exercises and interactive learning.

Led by experienced advocacy trainers, the course offers a blend of presentations, discussions, and group activities. It is designed for trainee and newly qualified OISC Immigration Advisers, solicitors, and barristers.

  • Engaging with the judge
  • Handling interim applications and telephone advocacy
  • Using legal authorities

  • Understanding Tribunal Procedure Rules and relevant law
  • Crafting skeleton arguments
  • Conducting examination in chief, cross-examination, and re-examination
  • Preparing for summation
